LATAM signs lease-agreement for A321XLRs
During the Farnborough Air Show in July 2022, LATAM announced it had ordered seventeen Airbus A321neos at Airbus and that the airline was planning to also introduce the A321XLR. Now, it seems these will be, at least partially, leased as well as LATAM and Air Lease Corporation signed a lease-agreement for five new A321XLRs.
The A321XLRs will be delivered between 2025 and 2026 and are coming from ALC's existing orderbook with Airbus. According to ALC's press-release, the aircraft are destined for LATAM Chile.
