Airbus wins ACJ320 order from Middle East customer

Aviation Link managing the aircraft
20 MAY 2014 PRESS RELEASE
Airbus has won an order from a Middle East customer for an Airbus ACJ320, adding to the strong presence of its corporate jets in the region.
The aircraft, which is being managed by Aviation Link of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, will be outfitted with a VVIP interior with seating for 30 passengers.
“Airbus corporate jets and their wider and taller cabins are popular in the Middle East, because they allow larger business and family groups to travel in greater comfort and space than traditional business jets,” says President and CEO Abdulaziz Al Rowaished. “As the operator of the largest fleet of privately owned Airbus aircraft in the Middle East,  Aviation Link is the natural choice for clients seeking a large cabin solution for their flight requirements. Aviation Link has the expertise to help customers get the best out of the modern Airbus corporate jet family, whether they be companies, individuals or governments,” he adds.
Aviation Link already manages two Airbus ACJ319s and an ACJ320 for Middle East clients.
“Aviation Link is well established in managing Airbus corporate jets in the Middle East, and the addition of an ACJ320 consolidates its position in this important market,” comments Airbus Chief Operating Officer, Customers, John Leahy. “Research[1] shows that Middle East customers want to travel in larger groups that include advisors and support staff, as well as business colleagues, friends and family, and Airbus corporate jets excel at handling that” he adds.
Airbus’ ACJ320 Family delivers intercontinental range, easily connecting popular destinations in Europe and the Middle East. Similar in size externally to traditional business-jets, it gives passenger more on the inside, where it matters most, through the widest and tallest cabins.
Airbus corporate jets’ airliner heritage – they originate from the world’s most modern aircraft family – gives them excellent reliability, backed by a worldwide network sized to support more than 500 customers and operators worldwide, including services tailored to corporate jet needs.
It also means that they deliver more innovative features as standard, in both cabin and cockpit, such as the alluring ambience of domed ceilings and mood-matched lighting, as well as a pilot-pleasing environment backed by the support, simplicity and savings of fly-by-wire controls.
More than 170 Airbus corporate jets have been sold to date, and they are flying on every continent, including Antarctica, giving them a truly worldwide footprint.

Aviation Link to manage two new Airbus corporate jets

Airbus corporate jets are popular in the Middle East

10 October 2011 Press Release
Aviation Link, the aircraft management company based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is to manage two new-build Airbus VIP aircraft, an ACJ319 and an A319, on behalf of two customers, adding to the already extensive fleet of Airbus corporate jets in the Middle East.

Both aircraft will have their cabins outfitted by the Airbus Corporate Jet Centre in Toulouse, with delivery of the completed aircraft planned for the second half of 2012.

“Aviation Link has gained a reputation as the “go to” company for clients seeking large and very large cabin aircraft,” says Aviation Link President and CEO Abdulaziz Al Rowaished. So when we received two requests for single-aisle aircraft earlier this year, based on our long and successful experience managing an Airbus ACJ320, our natural choice was the ACJ319, which we identified as the best aircraft to meet the specific requests we had for comfort, space and range from Middle East. Our long and successful relationship with Airbus, plus our experience with it on previous projects, enabled the transactions to be closed quickly and smoothly, to the full satisfaction of our customers,” he adds.

“The Middle East is one of the largest and most discerning markets for business jets, as well as one in which Airbus corporate jets have a strong presence, so it is good to be able to announce new business in the region,” comments Airbus COO, Customers John Leahy. “Airbus corporate jets have the widest and tallest cabin of any business jet and, as more and more customers recognize the benefits of this, our fleet will continue to grow, both in the Middle East and worldwide,” he adds.

Airbus offers the world’s largest and most modern corporate jet family, with seating that ranges from 19 seats in the ACJ318 all the way up to more than 100 in the ACJ380.
Total firm orders of Airbus corporate jets stand at more than 170, comprising over 110 ACJ318s, ACJ319s and ACJ320s, plus in excess of 60 VIP and government widebodies.
