Animawings welcomes 1st Airbus A220-300
On 13 December 2024, Animawings took delivery of its first Airbus A220. The aircraft, YR-CHR (55316), arrived at Bucharest via Reykjavik a day later. Unfortunately, the aircraft is currently all white.
The Airbus is the first of two A220-300s the airline is planning to take delivery of this year. Both are leased from Azorra. The next fun is going to be YR-FUN (55321).
Earlier this year, Animawings announced a plan to expand the fleet to twelve aircraft by 2027. It plans to do so by adding the A220 as well as A320s. Before the delivery of the A220, the airline was operating a single A320.
