1st A330neo for Virgin Atlantic painted

Airbus has, on 6 September, released picture of the first fully painted Airbus A330-900 for Virgin Atlantic. The aircraft involved is currently registered F-WWCG (2018) and will become G-VJAZ. It flew for the first time on 12 August from Toulouse and is expected to be delivered end of September/Early October. It's planned for entry into commercial service on 12 October, flying from London-Heathrow to Boson-Logan International (MA).

In total, the airline has sixteen Airbus A330-900s on order, which are a combination of directly purchased aircraft as well as leased. Three A330-900s are planned for delivery this year, while the remaining thirteen will all be delivered before end 2026.

They will join a fleet which now consists of ten Airbus A330-300s, nine A350-1000s and seventeen Boeing B787-9s.
