PIA - Pakistan International Airlines (PK, Islamabad Quaid-e-Azam Int'l) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for the valuation of six A320-200s without engines it plans to sell.

According to the RFP, interested companies have until October 26 to submit their bids. Subsequently, the selected supplier will have two weeks to conduct the valuation, which will then enable PIA to move ahead with the disposal of the aircraft.

The carrier did not disclose the identity of the six A320-200s. According to the ch-aviation fleets advanced module, PIA currently operates ten A320-200s.

Loss-making PIA is currently undergoing wide-ranging restructuring backed by the government. While the plan foresees a small reduction in fleet size from the current baseline of 30 units, PIA has never provided specific details as to how many aircraft and which types it will retain.
