GLOBALX (Miami Int'l) took delivery of its first A320-200 on January 1, 2021, as it progresses towards completing its certification by the end of March 2021.

N223FR (msn 2695), a 14.9-year-old twinjet owned by DAE Capital and previously operated by Frontier Airlines (F9, Denver Int'l), was ferried from storage at Marana to Amarillo, TX, where it will be repainted into the start-up's livery. It is due to be re-registered as N276GX shortly.

GLOBALX is already in possession of one aircraft, A321-200 ES-MLS (msn 2480), on lease from Lithuania-based Magnetic Leasing. The aircraft is parked at Tallinn Lennart Meri, already in the Floridian start-up's livery.

"The management expects to achieve FAA certification in the first quarter of 2021 and flight operations will immediately follow. The sales pipeline of contracted and 'highly likely' now stands at USD52 million for the 12 months following certification with an additional USD15 million in 'active prospects'," it said.
