Delta Air Lines (DL, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson) has announced it will commence scheduled A220-100 operations with effect from January 31, 2019. The Georgia-based carrier has a total of seventy-five of the type on order from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac).
In a statement, Delta said its initial A220 operations would focus on connecting New York La Guardia with each of Boston and Dallas/Fort Worth followed by Detroit Metropolitan-Dallas/Ft. Worth in March, New York La Guardia-Houston Intc'l in April, Salt Lake City-Dallas/Ft. Worth in May, Minneapolis/St. Paul-Dallas/Ft. Worth in June, Houston Intc'l to each of Detroit, Dallas/Ft. Worth, and Salt Lake City in July, and New York JFK to Dallas/Ft. Worth in August.
Delta's A220s with feature 109 seats in total, including 12 in First Class, 15 in Delta Comfort+, and 82 in Main Cabin.
