Incident: Saudia A320 near Sharm el Sheikh on Mar 31st 2011, medical emergency

A Saudi Arabian Airlines Airbus A320-200, flight SV-336 from Alexandria Borg el Arab (Egypt) to Madinah (Saudi Arabia) with 121 passengers, was enroute near Sharm el Sheikh (Egypt) when a passenger suffered symptons of a heart attack. A doctor amongst passengers provided first aid while the flight crew diverted to Sharm el Sheikh for a safe landing. The passenger was taken to a hospital and is on the way to recovery.

The airplane reached Madinah with a delay of 2 hours.

A Lufthansa Airbus A320-200, registration D-AIQE performing flight LH-1450 from Frankfurt/Main (Germany) to Moscow Domodedovo (Russia) with 80 passengers, was climbing out of Frankfurt when the crew noticed a sharp increase in an engine (CFM56) exhaust gas temperature. The airplane levelled off at FL240 and returned to Frankfurt for a safe landing about 45 minutes after departure.

A replacement Airbus A320-200 registration D-AIQC reached Moscow with a delay of 2:45 hours.
