Incident: Malaysia A333 near Delhi on Feb 20th 2011, engine trouble

A Malaysia Airlines Airbus A330-300, registration 9M-MKH performing flight MH-173 from Delhi (India) to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) with 158 passengers, returned to Delhi after the crew reported engine trouble. The aircraft landed safely about 110 minutes after departure.

Malaysia Airlines confirmed their A330 returned to Delhi due to a technical snag with one of the engines.

India's press partly reports a Boeing 737-800 (as scheduled) was involved, partly reports an A330. TV images show an A330. According to radar data the A333 registration 9M-MKH departed Kuala Lumpur as flight MH-172 to Delhi in the morning of Feb 20th.
Incident: Air Berlin A320 near Lanzarote on Feb 20th 2011, electrical problem

The crew of an Air Berlin Airbus A320-200, registration D-ALTF performing flight AB-2310 from Dusseldorf (Germany) to Lanzarote,CI (Spain), reported an electrical problem while on approach to Lanzarote. The airplane landed safely on schedule and shut down on the runway. The airplane was subsequently towed to the apron.

The airplane however was not able to depart for the return flight. A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration D-ABBC is currently airborne estimated to reach Dusseldorf with a delay of 10 hours.
