A321N Transavia 640Transavia's retrojet Airbus A321NX makes 1st flight

On 9 July 2025, Transavia's soon to be delivered retrojet took to the skies for the very first time. The A321-252NX, currently registered D-AYAD (12652), flew the flight from and to the Airbus-factory at Hamburg-Finkenwerder.

Delivery of the aircraft is scheduled for 25 July 2025 and will be ferried with flight number HV1965, referring to the year Transavia was founded. The 60 year birthday-livery is, however, not from its first year of operations but from a year later.

Once delivered, it will be the eleventh Airbus A321neo in Transavia's-fleet.

Later this year, Transavia is also set to unveil a new and refreshed livery. So far, the airline has only releases a picture of the new tail, which is now completely green with an updated white logo. So stay tuned!

A321N TransaviaRetro 640Transavia to introduce a retrojet

On 21 October 2025, Transavia will celebrate its 60th birthday. To mark this important milestone, the airline is set to introduce a retrojet. This new Airbus A321neo is scheduled to be delivered in the summer of this year.

The featured livery is inspired on the livery that the airline introduced in 1966. It was designed by Thijs Postma, who also introduced the color green and "T" as the airline's logo. Both elements are still part of the livery today.

Transavia (Netherlands) currently operates a fleet of seven A321neos and 40 Boeing B737-800s. Sister Transavia France has a fleet that's made-up of nine A320neos and 68 B737-800s.
