Delta firms Airbus A321neo options
On 27 February 2026, Delta Air Lines announced it has firmed-up options for the Airbus A321neo. In total, the airline exercised all of its remaining 34 options it held but also secured 36 new options. Deliveries of the additional A321neos are to begin in 2029.
With this latest order, Delta now has placed firm orders for 189 A321neos, making it the largest scale type in its fleet. It's also the third large order the airline announced this year, having previously ordered 30 B787-10s (with 30 options) and sixteen A330-900s and fifteen A350-900s.
Delta Air Lines took delivery of its first A321neo on 23 March 2022. Since then, 91 more have so far followed.
