Airbus Updates No.2610

BA's first Airbus A350 damaged in ground shunt with Emirates 777
British Airways’ first Airbus A350-1000 has been damaged in a ground accident which also involved an Emirates Boeing 777-300ER at Dubai.
Images circulating on social media indicate that the trailing edge of the A350’s left-hand horizontal stabiliser struck – or was struck by – the left-hand elevators of the 777.
Circumstances of the event, and the extent of the damage, have yet to be determined. The A350 (G-XWBA) had arrived at Dubai following a service from London Heathrow on 13 April.
The 777 (A6-EBR) subsequently arrived on a service from the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh.
Both aircraft appear to have been parked at the western end of the airport.
British Airways took delivery of the A350 just nine months ago, in July 2019. The Emirates 777 is an older airframe, originally delivered to the Dubai-based carrier in 2006, according to Cirium fleets data.
