Incident: Jetblue A320 near Fort Lauderdale on Jul 7th 2011, unreliable airspeed

A Jetblue Airbus A320-200, registration N510JB performing flight B6-18 from Fort Lauderdale,FL to New York JFK,NY (USA) with 119 people on board, was climbing through about FL240 out of Fort Lauderdale when the crew reported they had an unreliable airspeed on the captain's side, declared emergency requesting an immediate descent to 10,000 feet and radar vectors to West Palm Beach,FL. The aircraft landed safely on West Palm Beach's runway 28R about 30 minutes later.

Incident: Saudia A333 near Rome on Jul 5th 2011, medical emergency

A Saudi Arabian Airlines Airbus A330-300, registration HZ-AQH performing flight SV-126 from Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) to Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), was enroute at FL390 over the Ionian Sea about 400nm southeast of Rome and 390nm west of Athens (Greece) when the crew diverted to Rome's Fiumicino Airport due to a male passenger suffering from severe eye pain. The aircraft landed safely on runway 25 about 90 minutes later, the passenger was taken to a local hospital.

The aircraft reached Jeddah with a delay of 4.5 hours.

The passenger had undergone surgery on his eyes and had been cleared to fly by the hospital. Enroute he started to feel severe pain on the operated eye, a doctor on board provided first aid and recommended to divert. The hospital recommended to postpone the trip home by at least one week.
