Berlin, Germany - The fuselage parts of the ex-Singapore Airlines Airbus A380 are being converted into collectible identity tags by a German company for the fans of the iconic superjumbo.
The aircraft with registration 9V-SKA is one of the two Airbus A380s retired by Singapore Airlines that was dismantled by the French recycling specialist Tarmac Aerosave in Tarbes, France to sell its parts in the second-hand spare part market.

German company Aviationtag has recently launched a special series of 7,000 identity tags manufactured from the airframe of the ex-Singapore Airbus A380.
“Each of the limited edition tags sport the aircraft type, registration number, edition number, and size,” says Aviationtag.

A380 9V-SKA was delivered to the launch customer Singapore Airlines on October 12, 2007. The aircraft carried out the world’s first A380 passenger flight on October 25, 2007 (Flight SQ380) between Changi International and Sydney.
The airline retired the aircraft in October 2017 and it was dismantled by Tarmac Aerosave last year in Tarbes, France.
