Greece's Aegean Airlines adds first A320neo
Aegean Airlines (A3, Athens Int'l) took delivery of its first A320-200neo on December 19, 2019, Skyliner Aviation has reported.
SX-NEO (msn 9400) was ferried directly from Airbus' Toulouse Blagnac site to Athens Int'l. It has yet to enter revenue service. According to the ch-aviation schedules module, the airline will debut A320neo operations on February 2, 2020, deploying the aircraft to London Heathrow.
According to the ch-aviation fleets advanced module, the Greek carrier currently operates one A319-100, thirty-seven A320-200s, and eleven A321-200s. It will be replacing the aircraft with A320neo Family units - it has twenty A320neo and ten A321-200neo on firm order from Airbus and an additional sixteen A320neo Family jets due from various lessors.
