Toulouse, France - The first Airbus A350-900 intended for Turkish Airlines rolled out of the Final Assembly Line at the Toulouse factory of the European planemaker on Nov. 29.
The aircraft is the first of 25 A350-900 ordered last year by the Turkish flag carrier. The plane was spotted by a local photographer while leaving the assembly line for the first time.
Turkish Airlines is already set to upgrade its long-haul fleet with new widebody jet orders from both Airbus and Boeing. (30 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and 30 Airbus A350-900s).
The orders after during the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan official visits to both the United States and France.
Turkish Airlines currently operates a huge fleet of 305 jets, including Airbus A319, A320, and A321s, 67 A330-200/300s, as well as 91 Boeing 737-700/-800/-900s/MAX 8s, 39 777-300ERs and six 787-9 Dreamliners.
