Air Hong Kong adds first A330-300(F) freighter
Air Hong Kong (LD, Hong Kong Int'l) has added its first A330-300(F) in the form of B-LDO (msn 116), Skyliner Aviation has reported.
The 24.3-year-old freighter is owned by EAT Leipzig and was transferred from ASL Airlines Ireland (ABR, Dublin Int'l). It was wet-leased to Air Hong Kong until May 29, 2019, and was subsequently flown to Singapore Seletar for maintenance, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. The freighter was ferried back to Hong Kong Int'l on December 23, 2019, and has yet to be deployed into commercial service.
Air Hong Kong wet-leases two more A330-300(F)s, as well as one A330-200(F) and one A300-600(F), from ASL Airlines Ireland. In mid-2019, the airline said that it planned to take over the operation of one A330-300(F) and the -200(F) from ASL Aviation Holdings subsidiary, with the fate of the other two -300(F)s unknown.
Air Hong Kong's in-house fleet comprises nine A300-600(F)s. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cathay Pacific and operates exclusively on behalf of DHL Express.
