Airbus receives an order for 18 A320neo from BOC Aviation on the last day of 2019
HongKong - Airbus seems to be able to register another order to its already well-filled backlog on the last day of 2019.
On Dec. 31st, the Chinese leasing company BOC Aviation announced that it signed an agreement with the European aircraft manufacturer for 18 Airbus A320neo family jets.
The planes will be delivered to the Chinese lessor in 2022 and 2023, according to a statement that the company sent to the Hong Kong stock exchange.
BOC Aviation is the aircraft lease branch of the Bank of China. As of the end of 2019, the company has a portfolio of 509 airliners, including 37 A320neo family planes.
BOC Aviation already had 58 A320neos in its order book with Airbus.
BOC Aviation is a global aircraft leasing company. It is the largest aircraft lessor headquartered in Asia, in terms of the value of aircraft owned by the company.
BOC Aviation is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and has its headquarters in Singapore with offices in Dublin, London, New York and Tianjin.
