A piece from an Airbus test aircraft was found in the garden of a residential area near Toulouse
Toulouse, France - An Airbus aircraft part was found 6,2 miles (10) km out of Toulouse-Blagnac Airport. The part, which was found by an inhabitant, is likely to belong to a test aircraft of the European planemaker.
According to AFP, the one-meter (3.2 ft.) long and 19 inches (50 centimeters) wide piece was found in a garden within a residential area on Nov. 19, but it was made public on Nov. 27.
The incident was confirmed by Airbus. It reportedly did not cause any damage.
The French authorities and Airbus are investigating the incident.
Daux, where the fallen aircraft piece was found, has 2,300 inhabitants and located about 10 kilometers away from the Toulouse-Blagnac Airport.
