Russia's Ural Airlines launches A321neo operations
Ural Airlines (U6, Ekaterinburg) took delivery of its first A321-200neo on November 1, 2019, and launched operations with the aircraft the day after, the airline said in a press release.
VP-BOP (msn 8955) was ferried directly from Hamburg Finkenwerder to Ekaterinburg, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. The aircraft's first revenue service was to Moscow Domodedovo.
Ural Airlines originally planned to debut A321neo operations on September 18, 2019, although this was postponed due to delivery delays. The aircraft is equipped with 236 seats in an all-economy class configuration and it is currently used on routes from Moscow Domodedovo to Bishkek, Kaliningrad, Karshi, Kulyab, Namangan, Navoi, Nukus, Osh Int'l, Simferopol, and Urgench.
According to the ch-aviation fleets advanced module, Ural Airlines currently operates five A319-100s, twenty-three A320-200s, two A320-200neo, fifteen A321-200s, and the single A321neo.
