Sao Paulo, Brazil - Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras received the first Airbus A321neo of Brazil on Nov 12. Azul is the largest airline in Brazil by the number of destinations flown and the frequencies of daily flights.
The aircraft is the first of 13 A321neos ordered by the Brazilian operator. It is configured to accommodate up to 214 passengers and powered by CFM International’s LEAP-1A engines.
Azul plans to operate the aircraft on its busiest domestic routes.
The A321neo is an important milestone for Azul once it will allow the company to simultaneously grow its route network and become more efficient. Customers will enjoy the extra legroom of our Espaco Azul product as well as free unlimited snacks and drinks. The new Airbus will also feature individual seat-back touch screen entertainment with stored content and soon to come streaming live-TV and Wifi,
said Azul's chief executive John Rodgerson.
With the arrival of the A321neo, the airline aims to offer its customers a unique flight experience thanks to the larger luggage bins, mood lighting, comfortable seats with more legroom and an IFE (In-Flight Entertainment System) with larger touch screens.
