FlyBosnia (FBS, Sarajevo) has announced it has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with an unspecified third party for the provision of three more A319-100s. The start-up currently leases a single aircraft of the type from AerCap.
Chief executive Chris Gabriel said in a statement that the three additional jets would be delivered over the "coming quarters". If so, the carrier will have a fleet of four aircraft by year-end.
FlyBosnia is planning to connect Bosnia & Herzegovina with select destinations in Europe, such as London and Frankfurt Int'l initially, and Riyadh, Jeddah, and Bahrain Int'l in the Middle East.
"We have made significant progress in confirming airport slots in preparation for the upcoming launch of scheduled flights, and are also working to confirm select charter flights from the numerous charter requests we have received to date," Gabriel said.
