An Airphilexpress Airbus A320-200, flight 2P-988 from Davao to Manila (Philippines) with 176 passengers, was lined up and waiting for takeoff clearance from Davao's runway 23 when an unknown voice was heard on radio (by both crew and tower) warning that there was a bomb on board of the aircraft. The aircraft returned to the apron where passengers disembarked.

Police reported a search of the aircraft, passengers and luggage found no trace of explosives or incendiary device.

The aircraft departed with a delay of 5 hours.
