Vietnam's Bamboo Airways adds first A321neo
Bamboo Airways (Qui Nhon) has taken delivery of its first A321-200neo with VN-A588 (msn 8195) having been ferried from Hamburg Finkenwerder to Hanoi via Delhi Int'l on December 29/30.
The Airbus narrowbody is leased from GECAS and was originally destined for the now-defunct Primera Air Scandinavia. According to Skyliner Aviation, the aircraft still features the Scandinavian carrier's livery and is therefore in the process of being repainted ahead of its induction into service.
Though it has yet to secure its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) let alone commence flight operations, Bamboo Airways has already assembled a fleet that consist of one A319-100s and two A320ceo, all sourced from FTAI Aviation, and two A320-200s wet-leased from Freebird Airlines (FH, Istanbul Atatürk).
