Incident: Air India A332 at Tripoli on Mar 6th 2011, could not retract gear

An Air India Airbus A330-200, registration VT-IWB performing evacuation flight AI-160 from Tripoli (Libya) to Delhi (India), could not retract the landing gear after departure from Tripoli. The crew decided to divert to Malta (Malta) for a safe landing on Malta's runway 31.
The aircraft had arrived in Tripoli early Mar 5th and had been on the ground in Tripoli for about 34 hours.
