Spain's Iberia Express to add first A321neo in 2Q20
Iberia Express (I2, Madrid Barajas) has announced that as part of its fleet renewal drive, it will take delivery of its first four A321neo in 2020.
In a statement, the Iberia low-cost subsidiary said the first of the new narrowbodies would tentatively deliver from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) in April next year.
The new aircraft will feature a total of 232 seats; a 6% improvement on its current fleet of four A321ceo which seat 220 in an all-economy class layout.
Iberia Express also operates nineteen A320ceo. Overall it specializes in connecting various cities across Spain and Western Europe with Madrid Barajas and the Canary Islands.
