Wizz Air to take maiden A321neo in 1Q19
Wizz Air (W6, Budapest) will take delivery of its maiden A321neo aircraft in January 2019, Chief Commercial Officer George Michalopoulos has told Air Transport World.
The Hungarian LCC will equip its A321neos with 239 passenger seats, nine more than it has in its current A321ceos.
According to the ch-aviation fleets module, the carrier currently operates an all Airbus fleet of sixty-seven A320s and twenty-eight A321s. As of February 28, 2018, it had a further eight A320s and seventeen A321s on order, in addition to seventy-two A320neos and 184 A321neos. It is the world's largest customer for the A321neo type and one of the largest customers for the A320neo Family, trailing only behind IndiGo Airlines (a total of 398 A320neo Family orders with Airbus) and AirAsia (378).
