Malaysia Airlines adds maiden A350-900
Malaysia Airlines (MH, Kuala Lumpur Int'l) has taken delivery of its first A350-900 with 9M-MAB (msn 159) positioned from Toulouse Blagnac to Kuala Lumpur Int'l on Wednesday, November 29. The aircraft is the first of six to deliver direct from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) and is sourced via Air Lease Corporation.
Following crew familiarization flights that are expected to take place over the coming weeks, the A350s will be deployed on longhaul routes to London Heathrow in January of next year. The type will eventually replace the carrier's existing fleet of six A380-800s.
