Thai Lion Air adds first widebody jet, an A330
Thai Lion Air (SL, Bangkok Don Mueang) has taken delivery of its first widebody aircraft in the form of A330-300 HS-LAH (msn 1820). According to Skyliner Aviation, the twinjet as positioned from Toulouse Blagnac to Bangkok Don Mueang on Tuesday, November 21, featuring the livery of fellow Lion Air Group carrier, Batik Air (ID, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta).
Thai Lion Air has previously stated it would take delivery of a total of three A330s this year. They will be used to open up medium-haul services to Japan and South Korea once permits from the respective civil aviation authorities have been secured as well as the Middle East, and possibly Europe.
