Chinese airlines disclose Airbus-orders
Three Chinese airlines have issued filings to the Shanghai stock exchange in which they announce their intention to place new orders for additional Airbus-aircraft.
The first airline is Air China, which is set to order fifteen A350-900s. The new widebodies are scheduled to be delivered between 2030 and 2032. Today, the airline already operates 28 of the type.
Shenzhen Airlines, which is partially owned by Air China, is committing to 40 A320neos. These are planned for delivery between 2029 and 2032. It currently operates 35 A320neos.
Lastly, Hainan Airlines announced it will be placing an order for 40 A320neo-family aircraft. The new Airbuses are scheduled to be delivered between 2028 and 2032. Currently, the airline is operating seventeen A320neos and three A321neos.
These orders are not the first Chinese-orders for Airbus this year. Earlier, orders were placed by China Eastern, China Southern, Air China, and China Eastern again. Last year, Juneyao Airlines and Spring Airlines also placed orders for new Airbuses.
