On 10 May 2023, Airbus announced that Philippine Airlines has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the Airbus A350-1000. In total the airline is planning to order nine A350-1000s, which the airline plans to operate, initially, from Manila to destinations in Canada and the United States.
