Start-up Niceair welcomes first aircraft
Icelandic carrier Niceair has welcomed its first, and for now only, aircraft. The aircraft, Airbus A319 9H-XFW (3689) is wet-leased via HiFly Malta and arrived at the airline's base at Akureyri on 30 May 2022. The Airbus has been painted earlier this month at Maastricht.
Niceair will launch operations on 2 June 2022, initially connecting Akureyri with Copenhagen, Tenerife and London-Stansted. Later, in October, the airline also plans to add Manchester to its list of destinations.
