Lanmei Airlines (LQ, Phnom Penh) has returned its sole A319-100, XU-971 (msn 2720), to lessor AerCap.
The 14-year-old aircraft was ferried from Xiamen on June 13 before stopping in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and Anchorage Ted Stevens, and then ending its journey at Marana, Arizona, according to RadarBox ADS-B data. It had last been commercially active on March 19 with flights between Sihanoukville and China.
Pinal Air Park has seen hundreds of aircraft delivered there in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic – nearly 25 aircraft a day were arriving for storage each week by May, Business Insider reported.
Lanmei Airlines is left with three A320-200s and two A321-200s, according to the ch-aviation fleets advanced module, although only one of its A320-200s has been regularly active last week operating between Phnom Penh and Guangzhou according to FlightRadar24 ADS-B data. All of the carrier’s aircraft are leased.
Lanmei Airlines commenced operations in September 2017.
